A delivery note travels with the goods and lists what was sent. It shows items and quantities only, with no prices. In India the same document is usually called a delivery challan.
A delivery note says what was delivered. An invoice says what is owed. The person receiving goods often is not the person paying for them, which is why the delivery note leaves prices out.
From an invoice, use “Make a delivery note” to copy the items without the prices. Going the other way, “Make an invoice” copies the delivered items so you can add rates.
